Position Overview:
The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and managing effective email marketing campaigns to support the organization's communication and marketing objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, data analysis, and the ability to create engaging and impactful content to drive customer engagement and conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including creating email templates, writing compelling copy, and designing visually appealing layouts.
2. Manage the end-to-end email marketing process, including campaign planning, segmentation, scheduling, testing, deployment, and reporting.
3. Monitor email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and other relevant metrics, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure email campaigns align with overall marketing strategies and brand guidelines.
5. Conduct A/B testing and analyze results to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement in campaign effectiveness.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to email marketing and recommend innovative strategies to enhance campaign performance.
7. Utilize marketing automation tools and platforms to segment audiences, personalize email content, and automate workflows.
8. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's products, services, and target audience to ensure email campaigns are tailored to meet their needs and preferences.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, including list management, segmentation, personalization, and deliverability.
4. Proficiency in email marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and marketing automation systems.
5. Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficient in HTML/CSS for email template design and troubleshooting.
7. Solid understanding of data analysis and ability to interpret campaign metrics to drive optimization strategies.
8. Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
9. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
11. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
12. Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and their implications for email marketing.
13. Professional certifications in email marketing or digital marketing would be a plus.
